ENERGATE was pleased to participate in the IENE–TEE conference, “Energy Without Losses: Efficiency & Sustainability in Buildings and Industry,” held on Friday, April 3, 2026, at the Technical Chamber of Greece (TEE), Nikis 4, Athens.

Organized by the Institute of Energy for South-East Europe (IENE) in cooperation with the Technical Chamber of Greece (TEE), the conference highlighted the crucial role of energy efficiency in today’s evolving energy landscape. Against a backdrop of major geopolitical and economic challenges, the event emphasized energy savings as one of the most immediate, effective, and sustainable pathways to reducing energy costs, strengthening competitiveness, and meeting national and European climate targets.

The conference focused on key developments in energy efficiency for buildings and industry, including the current regulatory framework, the role of KENAK and TOTEE, the upgrading of Greece’s building stock, and progress in industrial energy audits at international, European, and national level. Particular attention was given to the implications of the new EU Energy Efficiency Directive (2023/1791) and the need for institutional and technical adaptation to meet its more ambitious requirements.

Financial mechanisms and investment tools for implementing energy efficiency projects were also high on the agenda, with discussions addressing the contribution of banks, national and European funding instruments, and best practices that can accelerate investment in both buildings and industrial facilities.

Representing ENERGATE, Katerina Papapostolou, Project Manager, took part in a panel discussion, contributing to the exchange of views on practical, market-oriented approaches to energy efficiency and sustainable development.
